With the use of digital media, and in the event that an image or images become corrupt or lost in the process between camera and computer, the photographer holds NO GUARANTEE that every and all images will be present and available. At no time can the photographer guarantee in absolute that all photographs taken will be available to the client.
Such an event is unfortunate, and doesn't happen very often, but when dealing with technology, anything can happen through no fault of the photographer, as there are many aspects to the process of taking and completing a photograph.
Refunds will NOT be issued for loss of photographs in the event that there is a loss. The fee is for the service and time of the photographer and not the photos. There may also be a fee for travel expenses in addition to the service fee.
Non-physical damage/data failure– there could be different scenarios, but one of the more common ones is when a memory card fails during the process of writing images to the card (corrupted data). The chances of data recovery are moderate to low, depending on how serious the damage is due to bad sectors.
